When in Rome
I know it’s a shame to tell coz I’ve been living here in Italy almost half of my life and this is actually my first time getting into this beautiful city of Rome. It was a dream to come here, but after a long wait… here I am! Walking around one of the most beautiful city of Italy. OH ROMA!
However, Alessandro and I get a quick break just to relax and discover what the city can offer us! Three days are not enough.. But travelling by foot gives you the chance to get
in to see hidden gems: the Roman churches and sites (Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Circus, etc). Then, we were staying at such a sweet hotel called “PEPOLI9“, which is a couple of minutes by walk from the Colosseum… lovely place, quiet and with a good service too, worth place to stay!
Touring around is not a small feat in this city, especially if you are used to move
go with public transports… so, we stick to our plan and go around freely walking so that we could see everything: from small streets to the huge squares. Gosh there are tons of them (usually with a fountain).
While wandering around we stopped at “Open Baladin” beer bar for lunch on our first day (that was a Sunday afternoon) .. the days after we went for a good dinner out at Trastevere district in “CAJO E GAJO” restaurant, good price, awesome food and enjoyable service.
Thankful to have Alessandro with me that took me for a memorable trip to Rome and celebrates my 26th birthday. Sigh, what else to say?!
